I'll pretend that I don't Love you, that we never met I imagine life without you and the Love I'll never get No anniversaries to share no caring and no gain No more holding in the night Just this never ending pain So now... I must make that I don't Love you and that we never Loved I go on in life without you because I've had enough No antithesis of "Us" to bear no yearning wild and tossed I will not step into the fire again for Love is lost |

Geoff--- Pretending does not make it so. I am all to familiar with the ground on which you stand. All I can say is sometimes I go not day to day, but second to second, then before you know it a minute has passed. Who knows perhaps somewhere someone awaits to show us the way to a better life. In the meantime... make lemonade as they say. Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Hi Geoffrey, If I read this poem as being what your life is about, head phones and a rocking chair and my prayers will be sent your way, but as far as it is poetry its just simply awesome, I love it and I hope to see more of your wonderful work, thanks for sharing. Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |
