the Rock < !signature-->Twas walking about the other day or so just walking about. When came across a babbling brook and rock beside. A primal morn innocence promised a sit enjoyed. Warmth of rock large and sunlit invited a lay. Stretched full out an invitation taken became one with rock. Suddenly transported anchored to ancient rock whispering. Senses exploded the I that was absorbed, changed. Rock thought, inside becoming as one symbiant realized. Rock that is Rock always shall Rock of ages. Seeing clearly multitudes past future eons. Clearly seen smile of child laughing lovers. Time no meaning only being so vast the vision. Tomorrow’s like pennies in jar or sand on shore. Yesterdays like stars in sky or voices calling. At one with and feeling all the Rock giveth. Once upon self realized sitting up, amazed. Never to be same Rock has changed I am, that I am. And yet now there is another the Rock is inside. bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" [This message has been edited by bleeding (edited 06-29-2000).] |

..and a beautiful vision it was. Great thoughts here, where the past, present and future become one with the rock. Great job. |

The best Rock of all is the one that is. Great Poem. jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Daniel~ Within this poem I felt the power of the rock and the serenity of man. 'Stretched full out an invitation taken became one with rock. Suddenly transported anchored to ancient rock whispering.' Very well expressed. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
