From high above this where she came Born from a silver streak of flame She tore a trail consumed my soul Burning passion I can't control Her beauty described in mere words A sweeter song than morning birds Who ever hope and ever try To please her as she passes by When she dips and when she bends Her graceful body never ends And when I look into her eyes I see a fire that never dies Watching her dance toward the ground The greatest entrance makes no sound And then forever life has worth I've seen where heaven touched the earth [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 06-19-2000).] |

Walt, I'm reminded of that message when you said you wished you could write like me. Why the hell you wanna do that? -- you write like yourself just beautifully. Awesome work. Mike |

Walt, this is pure beauty...you've got my vote too! *Krista Knutson* "Cherish your vision; Cherish your ideals; Cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts. Well Done!!! I like it!!!! Bridgette "Creation of woman from the rib of Man: She was not made from his head to top him; nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him; but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved." -Unknown |

hiya walt-a-roony! I think this is great, especially the last stanza. I would have one suggestion for you though... I might consider changing: Who ever hope and ever try To: "Whoever hopes and ever tries It would still maintain the excellent rhyme scheme you've worked up here and at the same time fix it just a wee bit, perhaps make it stronger! |

I love the ethereal and romantic feel of this haunting poem. Beautiful! Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. ellie LeJeune |
