Shadow Arms An aged tree torn and worn, Gnarled and withered and drawn, Shades in soft wreaths of lace, Cradle arms of shadowed space. Gently holding weightless braille, On the shoulders of a male, Dispatching him into the night, The only star a love in sight. Hand in hand with dream to go, In silent prayer to make it so, Launching free of lifes hard core, To sail the dark of evermore. Peace shines out his upturned face, He leaves this sad and lonely place. Love now gone this earthly haven, Stolen by a stealthy raven. Morning sheds the wreath of mourn, The heart of him and spirit gone. Beneath the tree he leaves his clay, His flesh and bone to melt away. And now in heaven shines new stars, No doubt my mind just who they are. |
