A Fine Case of Memories My presensce is unwanted though I arrive by request, of one in fearful panic of a tight painful chest Upon a soft tiny blanket untold years old, lies a cat of black onyx in silken repose. A sad faced clown peers down at the dark langour, as I wonder if sad clowns ever surrender to anger. My eyes pause upon silver framed memories of youth, tiny bronze baby shoes join baby's first tooth. Of all the very fine things in this very fine home, lie these cherished objects in a case of their own. A part of loving memories of a life long lived, a life now ebbing, slowly winding down to its end. Many countless times over I have been here before, albeit my shadow has never darkened this door. For in many fine places are fine houses with faces Having many loving memories in fine cherished cases. A Footnote: Though in my work we must try to keep a distance, events occur which leave an indelible imprint upon our very souls. Such was this. jamie < !signature--> Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". Jamie, the imagery here is fantastic, I felt as though I was there in that room. A beautiful poem from you as usual *hugs* to you and be safe Yes, I am here, but I am dead, not alive, my body goes on, my spirit has died, and I though alive, feel dead inside. "Rose Petal" |

Jamie* At moments like this it is so hard to not let your heart enter. To view someone is a patient or someone in need is one thing but to view them as anything more is our own special wall of protection and keeps our judgement in place. This was beautifully written and the story tugs at my heartstrings....I can see this so clearly you did an amazing job of weaving. |
