-Silence Surrounds Me- the silence now surrounds me your passionate eyes are no where to see your precious face has certainly left it's trace your fingers that once traced their way across the small of my back the feel of your body next to mine is what i now lack those comforting arms I've grown accustom to are now gone my emotions have crashed from feeling so alive & fullfilled to completely alone i feel the infinite sadness start to grow it feels like it's closing in on my very soul how I miss those precious lips to kiss how I long to be wrapped in your quilt of love once again you filled so many holes in my heart and helped it start to mend now my mind is lingering in the past missing, wanting, longing, and wondering how I could have made it last I long to have you again, to hold, to kiss, to taste, to smell, to completely inhale you into my whole being but for now the silence surrounds me my heart forever imprisoned--never to be set free HLB 2000 I know well what I am fleeing from but not what I am in search of. Sven, Epoet, James, & Heather- < !signature-->Thank you for your encouraging comments. It's means alot when others "get" your poems and understand what you are speaking of. love & all, -Holly I know well what I am fleeing from but not what I am in search of. Epoet- As far as for why...I'm really not sure. I guess sometimes we have our timing all off when it comes to meeting others in life. It seems mine is anyway. But a lasting, loving, honest "no holds bar" kind of friendship has came out of this...and at least he's still in my life in a positive way. Thanks again for your sweet words. I'm so glad you got the emotion I was trying so hard to put into it. Thank you for reading!! love & all, -Holly |

when we sit beside the fire-glow and let the embers warm our feet ... hand in hand with the one we love ... it brings the feeling of everlasting contentment but when the fire burns low and the one we love has to leave ... this lets the cool breeze bite deeply into a side that has been sheltered ... I know the feelings that accompany that breeze A sad poem you've written thanks for sharing |
