It was not long ago,
That I could enjoy the snow.
Riding a bike was so much fun,
Feeling the warmth of the sun.

But those days have all gone by,
Leaving me to wonder why.
The things I enjoyed I began to miss,
Soon I was told I had M.S.

I am learning to cope with it today,
As I learn to change my ways.
Even though I need aides to walk,
I've not lost my ability to talk.

I keep praying everyday,
That a cure is on the way.
The good days have all gone by,
Leaving me to wonder why.

But I know there is hope,
All I have to do is cope.
Though sometimes I've got to rest,
I always try to do my best.

Oh Cathy ... you have touched my heart with this beautiful verse. Although it is difficult to struggle with medical problems, it is our positive attitudes and indeed, our hopes and minds that allow us to soar beyond these difficulties thrust our way.  You are blessed to have been gifted with the talent of words, for from here, our energies are boundless!

Thank you for this beautiful poem Cathy!

Best wishes and prayers,
/Kit

Oh my dear sweet sister....I was wondering if you were going to post this one or not.  There is hope and I know from you and your strength that you have never given up and your fight for optimism is never lacking.  You will get what you seek one day and I will be there to celebrate it with you by taking you dancing in every dance club around so keep your calendar open. much love to you hon'

cathy....
I know in my heart that this must
have been very difficult for you to
       write.  This illness is devastating
I know, and it robs you of physical
capabilities. But one thing it will
never rob you of is your wonderful
gift that we all see here, and your
positive attitude. The other thing it
will never take from you is the love
of the friends and family here at
                    Passions!
And, email is a lifeline for a
                   lot of us......

Thank you for sharing your story,
             you are a special person!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

Kit--Thanks for all your support and thoughts
writing poetry helps me to cope with this
disease and to let others with it know that
there is hope for all.

Mark--as your sister I know that you are
with me in my struggle.

Sunny1-Thanks for all the prayers and support.
