(Terza Rima Sonnet?) You recumbent on the bed, expecting The fierce hot fueling of your fires, Timeless beauty before me spreading I see, the instrument I possess, Strings that vibrate with frequencies Heard in heaven with each caress. Know that with true loving touch, Now firm, now delicate, now insistent I bring forth the music I love so much This lovely narrow-waist shape, I hold My fingers press the strings and frets. Stroking just so, to and fro, so bold. Your loving look, your sounds reveal, I've strummed the right chord, pain to heal |

The guitar, and this poem, are excellent pieces of construction and beauty when placed in the right hands. Very good work here... |

Wilfred.. Now this is a perfect piece of writing as far as I'm concerned. I wrote one about my synth!! Great job here...... (All we need is bass and drums!) Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

Ah Mr. Yeats, I cannot play the guitar, I can just get my hands on the Dobro...but I could accompany you to Clair de Lune, and in that regard, feel free to visit this ... if you want... if you have time... /pip/Forum30/HTML/000978.html and enjoy... A very fine piece of writing.... ahhhhh ... to love a guitar and phrase it with such style and music!!! YES!!! Thank you for posting this. I haven't read your work until now and I'm impressed with your command of the language and your ability to evoke emotion. Well done. ![]() ~ all you can really ever expect out of life is a good apology and some decent poetry ~ |

Hello Wilfred, When I saw the title, I stopped dead in my tracks, as I also play the guitar. Well done, for my guitar will always be a treasure to me. |

Bill, your guitar playing sounds very sensual, very emotional, and your writing, I am coming to discover, is often very metaphorical. ![]() ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Karilea- I think the soft notes of the Clair De Lune- were the first "Adult" phrases I chose to memorize - - perhaps for the same reasons you wrote your beautiful poem - a Double thanks Corinne- ~a soft smile to you~ - Thank you very much Nan- if you heard music from me near Bar Harbor - it was from a keyboard - My guitar playing is pathetic ~S~ (I loved the animation~S~) Doreen- Humble thanks - your words are an inspiration for me to try even harded Bill Charles- I wish I did play the guitar - well enough to treasure it - but I only know what it CAN sound like played well - I'm limited to the keyboard - btw - listen if you can to a new guitarest on the music scene: Tommy Emmanual I think you'll like him Claire- "Metaphysical"? - I truly am humbled by your words - Thank you ~*Keep love in your heart. Mark- I wrote this originally as a 'violin' poem - but changed it to guitar at the last - I cannot play either one ![]() Paula- I never could keep my fingers properly pressed on the right frets - you may have to settle for one hand. Thanks Again |

Liz - Thank you -- I would die without a keyboard - it is one of the places where I can relax (most of the time) I love music - and especially appreciate acoustic guitar it too is what I go to for peace. as for terza rime - 4 triplets with 1st and last lines rhymeing and a couplet at the end rhyming - no biggy - should have the meter too ~G~ |
