Pallet of Life Rainbows glow within our mind Of everything we left behind And all that in the present lies Shines prism colors in our eyes The dress she wore of crimson red Gleamed red of passion in his head And crimson streams of passion poured The night he saw the dress she wore The day of white, the day of veil A dress of white with lacy trail The moon of white the night they wed Streamed down on white of linen bed In bright of sunshine’s yellow rays Life’s own sweet treasures filled their days With cradle precious pastel hues Of baby pinks and baby blues Days of black and days of red And days of yellow lay ahead The greens of summer, crimson fall And always spring revived it all The joy and pain of all they had Were colors mixed on pallet’s pad But dreams still shown in prism rays Until the end of all their days Of all the shades of painted time The tones of love were most sublime Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 08-10-2000).] |
