butterfly dreams ... sparkling wings of blue and gold rains a shimmer upon our hold left behind to fly no more butterfly dreams seek to soar summer's season so utterly brief life's work awing with no relief from north above farther cooling north to southern light's warming warmth numbers so vast on journey's start dwindles to few who have the heart let wings sparkle their mazen shimmer butterfly dreams fly on to glimmer M.A. Miller 08.08.00 < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. It's so sad when the butterflies leave and the snow comes, but it brings me warmth knowing they've flown on for others to enjoy Great poem. |

I enjoyed your light imaging here, also, and the cadence of your accentual verse. Lovely. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

MAMiller~ What a lyrically lovely flutter on wing. 'numbers so vast on journey's start dwindles to few who have the heart let wings sparkle their mazen shimmer butterfly dreams fly on to glimmer' We often think of the fragility of the butterfly ... and yet their strength is what takes them as far as it does. Beautifully rendered. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
