My Place In The Sun Now, night after night I look for that special place And, endlessly searching for your precious face Now, I know how to find you all on my own But, the roads not the same if I travel alone... For a while you walked a complete new mile And, inside I waved but still I smiled I bowed my head in the hope of a better place for you When inside I just wanted to be with you too... I know you didn't see me watching you move so far beyond But, with grace I stood back I let you fly on And, to myself I prayed to one day go with my friend What a day that'll be where the sun doesn't end... One day I hope to be in the arms of the carrying kind And, so if I fall at least I land softly this time It's you, it's the air, it's just the way I breathe My place in the sun will be waiting for me... My place in the sun isn't so far away It's just the miles get longer each new day And, again, I take your face when the sun goes down So, the new sun, next day, may be the day it's found... I watch you move closer then drift for a better view And, each time you get closer, there's a stronger you And, so you hold the weak just high enough to see Where they can get just a glance where they'll someday be... It's you, it's the air, it's just the way I breathe And, my place in the sun is there waiting for me I live what I breathe and I breathe what I live So, I follow with every moment your heart has to give... My place in the sun is only heaven if you're there Cause my place in the sun is the reflection of how another cared It's you, it's the air, it's just the way I breathe And, my place in the sun just waits for me... ohhhh girl this was beautiful....you go and find that place in the sun and when the clouds come by an cast their shadows...just hang out right there knowing that they will be blown away. Such an inspiring way you have with pen....loved it.  |
