My soul begins to awaken On this very night I will not be shaken By the brightness of the light The way begins to unfold Right before my eyes A new story will be told That contains no lies I realize my full potential Knowing that my time has come Happiness is now essential Don't have to be numb This is a new beginning To do whatever I desire The clouds are now thinning Since there is no more fire Peace will rule my days Now that you are gone I am tired of your ways Find yourself another pawn ---------------------------------------------------- Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
