What If They Could…?

What if your loved ones
could come back
for one day?

     What if?

          What would you say?

               Of course, you would say

~~~
Welcome back!
     We've missed you so!
          We love you!
               Don't ever go!
~~~

tears would flow….

But don't you see?

The most lovely thing that
person could hear

to bring them back, close
and near,

would be those words

~~~
"I forgive"
     "I love you"
          "I will remember"
               "I understand"
and that would indeed
make their pilgrimage
smooth.
Validate the lives ~~
validate life!
Make them glad
you were their husband
or wife.
Make them pleased you
were their friend.
Make them gratified
they know life without end.
~~~

What if they could?

What an interesting question this poses!! What, indeed, would one say? and why didn't we say it while the person was still alive? This one makes me think....thanks, Sunshine

Thank you for reminding me to tell my family that I love them while they're still around.
Very beautifully written.

Karilea~
And they do ...
and it is as you say ...
The moments are so full ...

Pleased to have you share this one -
Are you perhaps feeling my spirit in your thoughts as well ?
I think so.

Lot's of what if(s) so maybe the more did you know(s) that we put out there then you think possibly would could not have so many of the what if(s).  Time to stand up and start sharing how we all feel in this world I think.  Lovely write.

This has touched me as well. It serves as a reminder for us all to tell our loved ones how we feel, and that those who have passed on still travell with us.
