In my heart I still love you, yet in my mind I know I shouldn't. My mind tells me I should go, but my heart begs me to stay. My words don't come easy, since my inspiration was taken away. I choke on the words I long to speak, while knowing I must refrain. As I sift through the ashes of a broken heart, I find the smouldering remains of the fire that once raged deep inside. Rememberances of the love we once shared. I know I must resurrect the remnants, and rebuild this shattered heart. I must continue my quest for happiness, this lon, lonely trek without you by my side. As I begin this long voyage back to reality, always remember just one final thing. You were loved by someone far, far away, and that someone happens to be me. "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back to you, they're yours. If not, they never were to begin with." |

Bama, I love this poem... very well written.. so many emotions very well expressed "My words don't come easy, since my inspiration was taken away. I choke on the words I long to speak, while knowing I must refrain. As I sift through the ashes of a broken heart, I find the smouldering remains of the fire that once raged deep inside. Rememberances of the love we once shared" very cool poem... i so relate to those words... "since my inspiration was taken away"... when our hearts are hurting...our muses do tend to leave us.. welcome to passions take care jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |
