Alone I sat,
in the corner of my mind,
counting the days;
wondering when it would happen.
Knowing it would,
seeing it come,
but helpless as I waited.
So I prayed
and I laughed
and I hoped.
But secretly alone
I patiently waited.
One day I almost
forgot to wait.
I walked around,
wondering in my mind
what was wrong?
Then I saw the light again.
And I sat alone---
waiting.
Until I didn't wait anymore.
And IT HAPPENED.
Now, again, alone I sit,
counting the days.
Wondering when it will happen.
Helpless.

Very interesting.  Welcome to Passions.

So I prayed
and I laughed
and I hoped.
But secretly alone
I patiently waited.

I can't wait to read more.  But I will.

Joy

Welcome to us, hope you`ll like it here...

your poem was a very good read for me...I so agree with you, you wait and wait but nothing happens until you stop and forget the waiting for a while.
So the question is how do we stop waiting for the one when being loved is all we want...

-nando-

Ask me how to live your life, and this to you I´ll say: make your choises true and wise, so that when tomorrow will arise, you´ll smile at yesterday...

Joy, welcome to Passions, I'm sure you'll like it here.
Your entrance was great. It's true, when we stop waiting, that's when it happens.
