He was your high school love Whom you traveled the halls with each day. You laughed at one another And talked your evenings & nights away. Now you are married And he has the seven year itch. When you said your vows You didn't imagine it would be like this. Now the nights are long And the rain plays a sad tune outside. You feel you are all alone As you wipe the tears from your eyes. But if the wind is right A smile should grace your face. Because it will blow away your heartaches And joy will take its place. Laughter will fill your soul once more As the rain outside ends. Puddles and pain will be washed away And you'll be able to laugh again. The laughter you'll hear Will be like it was before It will echo in the halls of home And the itch will be gone forevermore. Garfield, Wow that was, I can find no words to explain. I really like the part Laughter will fill your soul once more As the rain outside ends. Puddles and pain will be washed away And you'll be able to laugh again |

BirdeeB If this left you speechless, I must have done something right. I so glad you enjoyed it and that it impressed you so much. Thanks for stopping by to read and I really appreciate your unsaid compliments. Speechless huh. Flattery will get you nowhere. Melton I so glad that this was comforting for you. But anyone as daring as you doesn't need to be comforted (LOL). Thanks for dropping by to read and for your compliments. Thanks again. Greeneyes Thanks for you comments to this piece. Hopefully your situation turn out as well as my peom above. By the way, I love green eyes and any tears that fall from them would be like droplets of lava burning away my heart. Green is my last name and my favorite color. Just remember that every time you cry, you burn holes through my heart with every tear that falls from your face. (I'm a big flirt aint I)softly LOL Butterfly I am honored that you stopped by to read this piece. And to know that you read it three times; man I don't know what to say. I truly thank you for your kind comments and please stop by anytime. I'll take kind compliments from a lovely Butterfly anytime. Garfield |

Because this is one of my favorite poems, I thought I would repost it. I continue to see many in this particular situation and not all end as well as this poem. Garfield |
