In the space between moments

Unbridled sunset
Flooding over swells of sea shine...
Midnight’s perpetual paramour,
Forever locked in a fluid tango
With the sable hand of darkness.

We are as the twilight-
Our fires twisting, choking
Fighting the blackness brimming
From the cracks within our spirits.

I see faces
Glued to the myriad shadows
Which cling as damp clothing
To my iced, shivering limbs...
And I wonder
Do those hollowed eyes remember
The golden shower of innocence
Present at a far away dawn?

Perhaps not, sadly...

For phantoms curl
In smoky threads of cloud
And it can be so easy to loose yourself
In the thickening haze
Of an unwanted existence.

So as the untamed evening
Explodes in spotted fuchsia
And battles coming night
Know that we also have the strength to challenge
Until the final sun rays fade.

This poem has a different sound than your normal "voice." I like the poem, though, you use a lot of cool imagery. Good poem, sweetling

Oh Krista ... your imagery is simply stunning! A masterful comeback from that writer's block ... looks like Christopher's article did the trick and then some! Incredibly beautiful Krista!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Loved this one alot.  Great imagery and flow and a little off your normal style but definitely a superb success.

And what a comeback!  Really like the flow and imagery of this piece.  Read it several times...liking it more with each.

Krista~
Excellently portrayed.

'Do those hollowed eyes remember
The golden shower of innocence
Present at a far away dawn?'

Enjoyed the read.

Thank you all so very much, I am very very happy to be back!  And yes Chris, you do deserve some credit, for I did take some of your advice.  So, thank you my friend.
