if the ocean didn’t ebb and the sun didn’t set and if wishes were mine for the taking then i wouldn’t need to miss you, we’d never be apart if wishes were mine for the taking if trees weren’t trees and birds couldn’t fly i would be in your arms right this very moment and forever if wishes were mine for the taking i’d own a jet and i would know how to fly...no if wishes were mine for the taking, I wouldn't need one if wishes were mine your kisses would be too if wishes were mine.... Corazon - I really love the way you kept the theme of fulfilled wishes moving toward love realized. Your stanza breaks kept the transitions locked tightly. |

I guess it's a good thing you don't have a Genie in a bottle cause it sounds like all hell would break loose..!!  Trees not trees and all... yikes!! On a serious note -- very nice poem here HFG |
