They walk the sandy beaches,
Their hands are entwined.
Their hearts beating in harmony.
They will cross a forbidden line.
Under the cover of darkness,
They are where they yearn to be.
Just for tonight they do not care,
That one of them's not free.
They whisper of their love and desire,
Then slip behind a private dune.
And as they melt within each others arms,
No one sees but the might night moon.

Kitty, that was beautiful. I could see the whole scene you described and feel their love and longing. Great work.

Kitty!  Bad Kitty.  I suspect you've been longing for a bigger sand box.  I love the flow of this poem, and the complexities you added in without fanfare.

I've crossed a few forbidden lines, but not that one.  I almost feel like I've experiened it through your poem though.  Great read.  Thanks.
