I hoist my barbells every day.
I run around the track.
I crunch my gut a dozen ways
While lying on my back.

I eat a powdered mixture
Of soy and bran and grit.
Sometimes I'll stir a pint or two
Of yogurt into it.

I never gain an ounce of fat.
I drink water that's distilled.
I'll leave The table long before
My stomach has been filled.

I'm leaner than a cobra.
I'm stronger than a ram.
I don't know another person
Whose as healthy as I am.

As specimens of humans go,
I'm perfection, I would say.
I'll live to be a hundred
And work out till my last day.

For my body's form and fitness
Hours a day do I invest,
And I don't allow temptation
To divert me from my quest

For the perfect human body,
An overflowing cup
Of energy and power.
Please, someone help me use them up.

Zeke, you should try a laxative. That always works for me at least it gets me to sit still for more than a minute.

yanno, Dom - this poem ought to get lots of responses. For example, did you know Balladder doesn't do any of these things??? Great flow, and super consistency with the theme. Great writing.

This tongue in cheek look at fitness overload is wonderful. I suppose, like anything else, we can carry it a bit too far. Thanks for sharing this one with us. (Loved the title!)
