Did you see him? He’s there, that little boy.
He hides right now, seeking peace in that power that was a man.
He’s here for me. I feel it. I know it as if he spoke.

Did you see that? In his eye? That little twinkle; that spark
of luminous light? Oh, how beautiful and wise, that child’s blue.

Did you catch that grin? How sweet his mouth curves?
A child’s laughter deep with masculine tones. Lines that feather
his grown lips; lines that hold a lifetime of smiles.

Did you see his hand as it reached for mine? Look how big and strong he is.
His fingers that tighten and curl about mine. He squeezes me
in his child’s play. “Come along.” He says. “Be with me.”

Did you see that? His spirit? As it soars? So sweet and soft,
it flies unfettered. Free and peaceful as it carries me, over the
knowledge of reality.

“Listen.” He says. And I do. I begin to giggle then as I hear it.
My life as it passes through me. The soft laughter of children’s
voices. I can feel them then, their little arms around my neck.

“Feel.” He says. And I do. I begin to cry as the emotions of my
lifetime begin to overwhelm. I feel his thumb then, brush across my cheek.
And I feel his power of serenity pass through, allowing my spirit calm peace.

“See.” He says. And I look. And I smile at the wonder of it all. The creations
I have made and the wonders I have done. I laugh as he squeezes my hand once more.

Did you see that? That light so pure that radiates his being? He’s been here,
and he’s been waiting for me. He loves me.. So true and so completely.
My life’s companion for eternity. And the child within stirs.

Watch now. Watch as I fly with him. And know that I am once again
complete.
