The preacher clasped his fervent hands And intoned, "Lord help me to begin. There's so much that I need to say On my chosen topic, sin. Now revelation makes it clear That all human beings are sinners. But some are more proficient And some are mere beginners. I would address this latter group In my sermon for today. When you traverse the path of sin, Choose to do it the right way. By that I mean, conceal your sin So, when all is said and done, Only you and God will know of it. Why embarrass anyone? To protect your reputation, Remember to commit each sin In such a way that it will stay The letter of the law within. We all slide down the slippery slope Of sin, with no way off it. So don't waste sins on principle. Sin for pleasure and for profit." The preacher finished and his flock Responded with a loud "Amen." Proclaimed the preacher, "Bless you all. Now go forth and sin again." |

Dom, this brought a smile to my face. I don't think I've ever met a preacher like that one. Dee |
