Written by me for a friend to use in his wedding

--- One Hundred Days ---

Today before all, I marry my friend,
But this day is neither beginning nor end.
Beginnings, you see were so long ago,
For all of the pain, there seemed nothing to show.

We wondered how this hurt and this pain,
Could ever be equaled by the things that we’d gain.
You crying in your world, and me hurting in mine.
Both painfully sure, we'd never again shine.

You’re shining again now, my most cherished of friends
And you have my hearts promise, that this isn't an end.
Not an end to the friendship, not an end to the care,
Whenever you need me I will always be there.

Thank you again most cherished of friends,
For trusting in me, and for loving again.
I'm telling you now, like I've told you before,
I will love you forever, then one hundred days more.

Beautiful words and how could anyone in love not cherish these.  Your friends are blessed to have a friend such as you and I hope you also will get to say these words at your wedding someday....somehow I know that you will.
