This was written for the most wonderful girl I`ve ever met...I met har on a ship between Greece and Italy and we only got one starry night, but that was enough...So Christine, wherever you are, this one`s for you. ONE NIGHT Who could know that you´re so beautiful The light in your eyes I feel the warmth from your naked skin And slowly realize That even if your beauty is for everyone to see There is a place inside you, even prettier for me We shared one of a thousand nights, one moment of time All alone on a sleeping ship And you were only mine The fragile flames that lit inside us can never be put out Our fires burning without words is what it´s all about I don´t know how to put in words So I won´t even try And I know you think it´s even harder, But your eyes can´t tell a lie. I saw it when we said goodbye, what you wanted to hide Smiling at me, kissing me – crying silently inside. ´Cause even if I´ll never see you again you gave that Greek morning dew. And someday soon We´ll share the stars and the moon There´s just one thing I forgot to say: Christine, I love you -nando- Ask me how to live your life, and this to you I´ll say: make your choises true and wise, so that when tomorrow will arise, you´ll smile at yesterday... |

What an enchanting night it must have been, and you have reproduced, in verse, such a captivating vision.
