Sonnet form

All my life I've enjoyed beauty
Felt my senses reel at God's creation
Felt my heart soar high in nature's bounty
Then I met you and lost sensation

Heard your voice reading your poetry
Through your words I knew of your empathy
Fell for you then, no eye for sophistry
If you were but mine I'd have God's bounty

So dream of that day when we last are one.
Dream of that day, we'll have so much fun
Dream of the day when our passions are free
Dreaming of days when you're all that I see

Common sense say's "no way" it tells me run,
I'm so deeply bound see no way to flee
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cinquain Form
In life
I've found beauty
Reeled at God's creation
Meeting you you're my sensation
I love
Your voice
Your poetry
Feeling your empathy
Feel no visual sophistry
Just love
Bounty
Full of your love
Dreaming of passions free
Dream of the day we're together
In love
I hope you're not asking me to choose, smiling now, as everybody seems to know, I always want it all...either way, it's beautiful poetry Wilfred.  Thank you for this cool demonstration...hmmm...may have to try this some time.
Bill--so interesting to see this written in two different ways...they are both beautiful!  Whoever she is is lucky to have someone feel that way about her.
Serenity-
No choice necessary - your gracious reply is more than enough. you will do more than try - you will succeed. and thanks for the "I want it all" it's been years since I heard that - and it brought back great memories.
Mike-
You should read my efforts a year or more ago.
Some of the rewrites show how lazy I was - I hope you'll pardon my pride - but I've found how little an effort it has been to turn a so-so poem into something I'm proud of. Thank you.
Martie -
I feel I am the lucky one - truly
Bill, I admire that you are able to share your admiration in such variety of lovely poetic expression. This is exceptional reading.
Wilfred~
Enjoyed both forms.
Isn't it fun to go back and rearrange things ?
We should have such pleasure in life.
