in self-judgement ... i've seen the face of fear on the bravest man i know i've smelled the stench of death on the floral beauty of the rose i've heard the cries of sorrow in the strings of symphony's song i've tasted the bitter of defeat in the winning of my last race i've felt the malaise of disease in the healing of my soul i've sensed my own evils in the humanity of us all a brave man fears what he does not know 'til battle he does engage a beautiful rose dies a quick death only to be born again an orchestral psalm relies on all emotions to sweetly play upon our ears the fastest sprinter knows to quit upon defeat and begin to race with the mind my resurrected soul never to save without the ills to wake me from deepest pits my wrongs easily justified in humanity's court now a declaration from my own heart M.A. Miller 09.15.00 < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.
