The perfect world... How would I design the world if it were up to me? Have you ever pondered such a thing? Instead of always complaining about the way things ARE... How would you improve them, given the opportunity? Keeping in mind that in a perfect world: My needs and pleasures must never infringe upon those of another. My needs: I need understanding (unfortunately, I don’t even understand myself.). I need my morning coffee (strong, and hot, and black). I need some good reading material. I NEED to write; my thoughts, my emotions, my experiences. (It’s nice if someone reads them but whether they do or not I need to write). I need to move (by this I mean that I need to see places, to travel). I need time to think. I need my time alone. Sometimes I need a woman who is demanding (at other times one who is soft, yielding, understanding). I need the closeness of love, but the freedom to fly. As I search my own heart, I realize that (even if I were the only one in it) there could never be: The Perfect World. Visit My Home Page http://www.geocities.com/montcogunslinger/index.html |

Hey, Gunslinger - you left out a big need of mine I NEED to have my poem appear whenever somebody clicks on another poem - lol. Great writing - laid out well, and food for thought. A lot of things we can do, even if the world isn't perfect. |

Very interesting when someone talks about their needs. "Sometimes I need a woman who is demanding. (at other times one who is soft, yielding, understanding)." Well put. I need a woman that needs me...James |

Dear Troubadour, an interesting perspective you've brought to light today. "Perfect" of course, is quite a relative term, as you've so eloquently detailed. As for your perfect world...it sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I very much enjoyed reading what means "perfection" to you. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Gunslinger, I enjoyed having a peek into your world. With a few changes (mainly the needing a woman bit) I think I could be happy there too. Anyone else want to join us? Dee |

Looks like a poem... sounds like a poem... emulates poetry sufficiently so that I don't need my giant eraser.... yep... It stays... |
