''Send in the Clown" I am introverted and guarded I wonder if all people have agendas I hear the faint call of a God I once knew I see my sanctuary in the mountains I want peace of mind and heart I am introverted and guarded I pretend that I am always in control I feel the warmth of unconditional love I touch the reality that it doesn't exist I worry that I won't succeed in life I cry when people use me and hurt me I am introverted and guarded I understand that I must love myself first I say somewhere within me has to be joy I dream of waking and enjoying a new day I try working through clouds of despair I hope that I will move to a happier existence I am introverted and guarded. SF - I guess if I said I loved your kitty, you'd see right through me, eh? lol - this is a neat poem - I like the way you hung in there on the theme, and kept reinforcing the source of all your reasoning. |
