Entwined Thoughts

I saw, as a tender reflection
in my wishing well of fortune,
smiling amid a starry canopy,
a young face of the full moon

brilliant and bright this
face of moon's light
lying low on the horizon,
say good eve to the sun

a mystical aura, spread
in a cloud of romantic charms,
enticed me to touch the smiling face,
as a breeze caressed the lake

floating aura, float me up
to hang over darkest lake
to see moon's face --
a floating twin in movement

I saw, as a companion soul
in my praying corner of hope,
beckoning me to fly with the breeze,
a white feathered fairy of angelic grace

and like the moon I shall sit
and hope with your hope
that with breezed wings of life
I should thus feather your flight

a new-born bird, freedom gained
in the sky cradling arms of mother sky,
swimming with happy butterfly strokes
as a lingering kiss toward the moon

and as one thought lifts high
entwined with thoughts of another
tender is the night's light
upon all that love below

Thanks a huge bunch, Karilea for first agreeing to take part in this most enjoyable duet and then writing such wonderful poetry making me feel honoured....
The poet is you and the duet was a great happy event...

ohhhh.. I see how it is now - not only do you two weigh in against me so effectively on your own, but you gang up on me and really finish me off with the ol' one-two punch.  This is a wonderful poem, you two.  I was transported to the lake in the eve, saw everything from the shore, and the air, and the moon.  Great collaboration!  I really enjoyed this poem.

Sunshine and Sudhir the perfect match, this was absolutely beautiful. A teaming of two dazzling talents that produced a poem that is nothing short of poetic perfection.

Thanks are due to Sudhir for his request, and for giving me such a wonderful jumping off place to start. Someday we are all going to say we knew him when...

I think we will all be saying we knew you both "when"....such a lovely duet and definitely among the tops in the pairs arena.

Great imagery and wonderful flow throughout the whole piece.

Excellent. . . a true meeting of poetic minds. . .

Sunshine, we may indeed say that we all knew Sudhir when. . . but I have a feeling we're going to be saying that about you too!!!

Well done by both of you!!
