Warmed in the lamp light I lay curled my pillow rests my head and I’m waking in my truth of these surroundings should I sigh would it find its way to you? Perhaps it’s settled in the deep shadows you see a thousand sighs away in those nights you and I have stared eyes wide I’m out again in the here covered by a sliver of tomorrow-sight it’s light enough to provide the promise of finding you and I’m not traveling far only across the distance our voices need to resonate the other’s hair over only a slice of space a measure of life |

This measure of life is very small no matter the distance. Sometimes the closeness is greater when you're apart, but spiritually entwined. This is beautiful, Kamla I miss you, dear Liz |

I liked this much...sort of a resigned sadness to the feel of this. You do this so well...yea, you! |

Kamla--time and space have such great meaning or so little meaning when the heart is traveling... This one touches my heart...but, your poetry always does.... |

The heart will always span time. . . and make distances as small as a hair. . . and in that space. . . Superb. . . --------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

K, I could actually hear this one being read in some dark, smoky, gin and tonic bistro on the lower east side, skewered by spotlight on stage, swaying with each elocution and emphatic swirl. Like a slap-64 inna Ghetto, Baby! *walks out to the snapping of fingers* |

Kamla~ What a treasure ... 'should I sigh would it find its way to you?' You should - and it would. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
