Of all the deadly sins, And at last count, there were seven, In my opinion, two of them Afford a taste of heaven. The others lead to grief and gloom, Guilt, remorse and broken trust. But if you're seeking pleasant sins, Stick to gluttony and lust. What better way to savor here On earth God's glorious bounty Than to eat yourself insensible Or make love to half the county? Surely theologians In definitions went amiss. Gluttony and lust aren't sins, For they augur heaven's bliss. |

Gluttony nah I would too vain about putting on weight LOL but lust (mixed with a healthy dose love) is a great sin. Sigh me up for some sweet excess. loved the poem. long live decadence This is the hour when the mysteries emerge A strangeness so hard to reflect A moment so moving goes straight to your heart" JOy divison [This message has been edited by brian madden (edited 09-15-2000).] |

Think I'll just not pick and keep on doing em all. With goodness mixed in, of course ). Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Well, this title grabbed me and pulled me right in to the poem! Have to agree with you here, how can something so good be a sin? I refuse to believe it. LOL Peace catalinamoon |
