If I were to paint a picture
Of what I wanted in my future
What I wanted in life
I would paint a true love
One that was given to me
From the Lord above

Beauty IS only skin deep
But love goes deeper
Never following a flow chart
It goes straight to the heart

Maybe I would paint a blonde
Like you see with James Bond
Or maybe I would paint another Rosie
With which I could get cozy

Or maybe I would paint a brunette
With midnight dark eyes
That I would get lost in
Would that be such a sin

Maybe I will paint you 5'2"
Eyes of blue
With a smile so bright
It would put the sun to shame

It doesn't matter what I try to paint
Cause without any doubt
The picture I paint
Is a picture of YOU.

Hi Alan,
I'm 5'4" with very long red hair and hazel eyes...do you have those colours?
Seriously, this is a charming poem, and yes, beauty is what we find within our beloved, not only without.

Welcome to Passions, and thank you for this very pretty painting!

Thank you. Yes I have those colors and I have paper that will stretch. I think I'm going to like it here. What I have read is wonderful.

Welcome to Passions...

And what lovely work you brought...

One thing I have always noticed is that when I get closer to someone, and get to know them better, they become more attractive to me.
Tis always the way with me.

Nice poem, and welcome!

Alan,
Welcome to Passions!!
This was a great entrance poem...love
doesn't care what the outside package
holds...it's the inner beauty that
matters...a beautiful message within your
weave.  I'm looking forward to many more
from you in the future~

Hey Alan!

Great poem!  I agree that beauty is a lot deeper than what you can see.  I know beautiful looking people who just got uglier by the word.  And vice-versa.
Very well said, and a pleasure to read!
Welcome to Passions!  Take a good look around, there are more marvelous poets here than you could imagine!
Hope to read more of your works!
