To whom it may concern She walked the shadows of unclear That maze of mental illusion. Tramped the valley of doubt and fear That rank of darkened confusion. Her candle lit a small of black Sufficient just to stay the awe It flickered high to low and back Enough to find an open door. Somewhere beyond the door a place A place to rest a place for one A place to call her own a space A space to warm beneath the sun. Beneath this glow a flower bloomed As pretty as a snow white dove A rainbow that my heart consumed With an aura of warmth and love. She filled my every wish and gleam And the bloom of my life long dream. |

Ah, Seymour... the last two lines will probably never define me... but the first verse sure could be mine. *S* "An aura of warmth and love"... what a lovely description... it describes your poem well! *S* |

"Somewhere beyond the door a place A place to rest a place for one A place to call her own a space A space to warm beneath the sun." Seymour, I read poetry aloud, whenever possible, and this is one of the most enchanting passages I have ever had the pleasure of reciting... just amazing, what you can do with this language of ours. I missed you! ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |
