In Your Poetic Mind

    A fire burns
    as lovers sleep
    during spring rain
    beneath the earth

    In the seas of night
    songs voice through
    silence, in strides
    along the edges of darkness
    that speak softly

    My lips dry your tears,
    as they speak your soft
    words, to a heart
    that walks through you
    when you are alone

    Bare your thirst,
    drink of the waters
    in passion weeping
    your shadows in arms
of tired eyes ready to shut

    Of a heart you sleep
    in constant dreams deeper
    to a journey yet taken

Beside you I lay , in tributes
    of the present, hanging your
    portrait stretched upon
the earth as my canvas (as)

    I wear your m a s k of life,

    Together Close
    We sleep

Greeneyes,
What tenderness spoken here...a comfort, a release, an almost intoxicating calm. I enjoyed this so much.
