What are we here for? < !signature-->to live and to die but our question is why? Why do people commit such hatred crimes to people like me and you. It's time to stand up tall prove what we can be Erase the visions of hate so in our eyes we can see. See the future for our children so they can be all they can be not like you and me living in such a violent community. Show them right from wrong not that right is wrong and everything wrong is right. It's time to change this world even if we have to fight every fight. We're being judged by our color not by what we are inside we can't let our children live this painful life. It's time to come together as one not one man, one woman, one race but one in unity. Erase the black and white and let this rainbow of life shine free. Shine so bright that the Lord can see our strength and know we try with all our might. Just remember never to back down, because as one we can make a difference As one, we can make this change. - Rebecca Vieu(C) This poem is dedicated to Edwin Njuguna. A dear friend who lost his life 9-12-97, due to racism. He was brutally killed because of his color. He came from Africa to America to live the American dream, and that dream was cut short due to racism. We love and miss him dearly!
