We see the cries upon the page
As the poet takes the stage.
Along with him, we cry too,
As the feelings all come through.

And with just a few strokes of his pen,
He can have us laughing, once again.
Thoughts bottled up inside, needing to come out.
Sometimes with a whisper, a cry, a plea, a shout.

The pen is just an implement
To portray emotions sent.
Words that flow out with such ease
Can bring us to our knees.

It scrawls out words to resurrect sentiments of the past.
Of hopes and dreams and joys, and the loves that did not last.
The mighty pen is his secret tool of therapy.
And lucky are the readers who share the poet's poetry.

Thank you Tracie.  We would all be lost without our pen.

Ahhh ! Eloise~
You wield the perfect pen tonight.
Wonderfully well portrayed.
What magic those pens do scroll.
Thanks for this remarkable render.
