Chalkboard Scribbles Chalkboard scribbles, dry and tasteless. With words on tongues, and sticks in dirt. Overload explosion leaving no trace, leaving expressions to follow tides of hurt. Back out to seas, in blood red waters that swallow years, that gobble pain. Wash it away, I can't breathe. It's always returning, always to gain. There are no reasons to not let it win, it comes with a vengeance for my hungry eyes and soul. My chalkboard scribbles tell tales of times of purple skies and empty holes. Holes in skin, and weightless smiles, of heavy heads and dog track scars escaping you. Of nights in satin sin, it let me in, a desperate score before dawn's debut. Wasted carpet pulls home free from alley's low. From clawing cries and perspired ways, fragile hands trace skin, trace counted beats and ribcage bars in darkened rooms for days. Chalkboard scribbles cry today and I can't breathe, I can't refuse I can't see the way of lighted trees and painted earth. I can't find the strength for you, to choose, .....I can't find the weight of worth. My chalkboard scribbles with tears of black, cry for sands soft and quiet back. For timeless safety and secret ways, for answers to my lost days. My chalkboard scribbles,... cry, cry away. |

SpitFire... It doesn't always have to be pretty to make a deep impression with its content......in fact, I appreciate a poem that I can mull over. This was written well, and I see images all over the place. Great job, my friend!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

This would make a great heavy metal song....i was listening to the radio and a heavy metal song was on while i was reading it and i replaced their words with yours and it worked perfectly!!! Great writing..I loved it pretty or NOT!!  Julie :) |

SpitFire, an intense poem, very dark imagery, excellently written. It brings back some memories of my school days and my not so fond memories. "Think I'm - I'm lost among the undergrowth So much so I woke up I love you all the same" Manic street preachers You stole the sun from my heart. |

Life isnt always pretty...how can we appreciate the beauty if we never see the ugliness?Powerful write here...who needs pretty when you present such a darkly sensitive piece? |
