summer of summering's quickened sun ... a waning summer's stay calls upon fall's crisp ear seed to flower to seed come to their full circles chase the spray of flying creatures flown away to heated feeding fields soaring Vs above auburn trees catching drafts upon an open wing refreshing early eve's chilling sprawls as brave crickets croak into unnight some to last 'til a first frost's bite seeking entry to a warming cove's light our wait's length measured not 'til days of gold and red arrive captured fragrant burning leaves arouse aromatic memories of our lives summer of summering's quickened sun speeding light escapes our spaces retreat against Indian skies to come return once more to warm our faces M.A. Miller 09.06.00 < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. M.A. You've taken me by the hand, right into the world of autumn's approach. A lovely journey. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |
