I whisper my last note to this world as grace before me does shine slowly, from my first concentrated breath I took my life's pain has ebbed within me. Of failed attempts to understand my heart that grace's my body like sin, of dances in moonbeam silhouette's showing my dreams where to begin. That my trials through this life have given me some trepidation to trust love's kindless kiss to smooth my souls lost expectation. No wisdom have I for words fail when my heart becomes damaged, from loosing my faith in you now these simple words do emplore. So I sit with failed spirit broken in mind, body and soul, and finnaly shall I allow God to come to kiss my cheek and take me home. |

Oh, this one is really sad, Michael, but even though it is, it's also very beautiful. Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

Michael, this poem touches me deeply I feel you in every line ... there is so much I could say ... but I know -- that -- you already know ... take care, please gentle poet ... me ******** I see you there in your sorrow I see you there in your pain. I know your heart gets tired I know the past tries to take your name. I understand the reasons I know the memories take a toll. I know the voices can haunt us they cry from the depths of your soul. I can see beyond the words I can read between the lines. Some sins were never yours to atone they are not your mistakes ... nor your crimes I know your heart is breaking I know your soul and spirit are tired. but I know that you can rise above it by finding your strength in being inspired. Let no one take your words ... let them be your comfort in the lost night. They are your path to take you home they are your hope ... your wings to take flight. I know you can do this you are so much stronger than you know. Simply turn your own light to shine on you by your gifts of grace and beauty may you heal and grow. JM There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Michael, What a beautiful, touching, and sad poem. I can feel you pain radiate from the screen and I sincerely hope things change. JM's poem above says it all. rp25 |

"That my trials through this life have given me some trepidation to trust love's kindless kiss to smooth my souls lost expectation." Michael, you write with the breath of a broken heart. I don't know the circumstances behind this lovely, emotive arrangement of thoughts, of course, but my senses tell me this comes from deep within you. "...love's kindless kiss"...how that line touches me. Take care, poet heart. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

MichaelG~ A sob catches in my throat when I try to read this aloud. I can feel what it took to pen it. A breaking heart make the softest sound, but it is heard through your words. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
