To Capture Becoming I look into the deep of the lake a world of glass and refracted light where grace is perfected in movement and I color you with moss and lick the moisture of your reflection. Is that bejeweled fracture my cleaving to this day, for the draining colors my cheeks in peach and nectarine and I am bedecked in mossy gown of green to lovely. Sway with me oh eyes of grape pull me down your cool depth into the sanctity of holding where bubbles seek air and pewter fish line the hall their bellies surging. I am drowning in words deepest lines of lure they touch my surface and change direction as if time slanted the dimension until I bleed ebullience. Breathe in this day now I am falling and struck by clouds and the bees are humming around my hair seeking nectar I am so full of each becoming minute that I lie with the sky to cover me and cannot capture it. In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (ee cummings) |

Martie~ So 'becoming' are your thoughts. I'd venture to say that you've captured it well. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

to read your poetry Martie is to tread on paths reserved only for the musings of a florist fair... |

Martie, this in particular: I am drowning in words deepest lines of lure they touch my surface and change direction as if time slanted the dimension until I bleed ebullience. Breathe in this day now I am falling and struck by clouds and the bees are humming around my hair seeking nectar I am so full of each becoming minute that I lie with the sky to cover me and cannot capture it. is absolutely excellent poetry. These lines just settled over me like a piece of poetic sky - one I was able to capture. Well done my friend. Well well done. ![]() |

Sunny--I'm glad to capture your imagination..and thank you for saying so. Marge--You play the words so well...and I think you are becoming. Hi Mike--This florist fair has to make 28 deliveries tomorrow...on a fair day, when I'd rather be writing poetry. Bill--I'm glad that this poem was meaningful to you...makes me glad for the writing...waiting for the e mail. Kamla--If you liked this then I am pleased...ya know... Mark--you say the sweetest things... |

There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Martie, the becoming has been captured with utmost capability only to be expected from phenomenons like you... Wonderful... I post the "capture of happening" here first for your own eyes... thoroughly inspired by your writing alone... (this is fictive and about an actor of the silverscreen) Glancing sideways into the reflectors Placed in the womb of the mirrored walls I find myself peeking at the me For a moment lost in self adulation, Glowing in later summer twilight Of interspersed pieces of attitude. Forgiving that moment, I turned my egoistic self toward The outside faced window Dismissing the oomph of vanity As I see the evening birds come flying Back to their nests after their forays into space I felt myself slipping in time Greying at millennium speed As darkness of the evening sets Into the light of the day, Marking the unwritten words Each bright spot has to end The actor of yesterday's stage Has to rid himself of his make-up And popular skin to reveal what lay Underneath the mask of day's glamour The true colours from the fading skyline When neon lamps pretend to be suns. I slipped myself into my shell, The pomp of few minutes ago Left as quickly as the light Now shrouded in quietude and aloof, With self's own moralistic views I stayed within myself glued, yet unstuck, true. ------- My regards, sudhir |

WOW this poem just left me breathless, perfect beautiful images, I feel like shouting wow at the top of my voice but I don't want to upset the harmony this poem has created. Sit down and bargain "Until your tongues are dry If the havoc and the shame continue We'll drown you in our putrefaction" Primo Levi |
