Night's Storm

The night was blazon with storm
The lightning sliced the sky
The Thunder clapped above me
But I was safe with you at my side

Though you slept through it
Not knowing it had occurred
I reached for you to comfort me
And you did without a single word

Then I realized it wasn't all bad
This storm driven in from the North
It carried your words of love to me
To hold deep within my heart.

The sun rose with a pristine morning
The air clean and slightly crisp
The sound of the song you sang to me
Was present as though from your lips

As the warmth of the morning touched me
I smiled softly and contently
I felt your presence so close
And I was at peace once again.

Miles separate us physically
But hearts know no distance
You come to me when you since my need
And I to you when you call

We will meet again soon my dear
To love to touch and to hold
Our love knows no end. You know
Destined to be together by fate

Smile for me as you read these words
Know that my touch is soft and true
I am waiting for one single sign
To draw you into my waiting arms.

Courage is the price that life exacts
for granting peace with yourself.

StartinFresh~
I enjoyed the romantic feeling of pulling
someone close through your thoughts.
Nicely said.
