I pined from afar, across home room class,
Gazing upon, her beautiful ash-
Blonde hair, atop goddess head,
I'm sorry Ms. Ness, I missed what you said.

Saturday morning, detention again,
I stared at the clock, a quarter to ten,
But I was dreaming, of dear sweet Louise,
Of my desire, to make her my squeeze.

Detention was over, at sound of the bell,
Freedom was mine, was loosed from school's hell-
O, Louise, what a pleasant surprise,
There stood my goddess, as stared in her eyes.

The green of an olive, the blue of the sea,
Each one a vision, directed at me,
I stood there in rapture, I heard her sweet voice,
Tonight is school's dance, I don't have a choice.

I've been stood up, I don't have a date,
There's no boy to take me, because it's so late,
So Chuck, you can take me, that is if you like,
I only could stutter, my name is Mike.

I'll be by at seven, is all I could say,
She said that's just fine Chuck, and then walked away,
A splash of Old Spice, a comb through the hair,
Advice from kid sister, don't be a square.

The girl of my dreams, my father's sedan,
Saturday night, seduction my plan,
We got to the gym, and started to dance,
I felt the twinge, of budding romance.

I could die dancing, she squealed with delight,
As she stepped on my corn, I thought I just might,
Her face turned to mine, her lips close did press,
At that very instant, I heard ole Ms. Ness.

You can wake up Mike, detention is done,
Gather your things, 'cause I have to run,
And wipe that weird smile, off of your face,
I'll see you next week, same time and same place.
