Our love
Lending texture and color
Of two lives into a single
Fabric, rich in experience,
Of each of us
Brilliantly exhibiting
The depth of our feelings

Threads so closely woven
Tapestry raised relief
Embroidering the essence of our union
In this symbolic fabric of our love

In this life story diorama
Stretched across the wall of time
Are the scenes of our meeting
Our coming together
Our shared pleasures
Our shared joys

Like the beautiful confluence
Of two rivers
Our water fun
Our subsurface kisses
And splashing in the surf

Like the soft play of sand dunes
Sprinkled with beach grass
Our evenings of quiet joy
When we realize how our joining
Has grow in mutual caring and respect

Like the gentle breezes
That carry summer fragrance
Of Oleander and Orange blossoms
Our kisses sweet with promise
Our hugs warm with secure comfort

Like the sparkle of stars
On a cool fall night
Twinkling with the same
Tingle we feel on our flesh
As we show love with caresses.

And in the harsh chill of winter
As we come together bonding
'Neath a cozy down comforter
Generate cataclysmic heat
And bask in the totally peaceful
Subsidence of the natural ebb
Of our afterglows
We know
We have
Each other
Always
And forever

~You
have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

Beautiful, Wilfred. Some one is very lucky that you feel this way about her.

Bill--When you write of love you write with such sweet tenderness it is hard to believe that it is not coming from a real thing.  Love this poem!

Doreen-

Well I 'cotton' to such beautiful compliments
Thank you

English Rose, Brian, Marge,

I've seen the tapestry of the Norman invasion and the one they made after WWII for the Normandy invasion (D-Day '44) such huge lengthy dioramas - A taoestry seemed a fitting vehicle for my poem - Thank you

Mark-

Guess you noted I had to include that verse

Martie-
as one who's read as many of mine as you have - You should have figured me out   see my 1st reply (jes kidding)

what style here, Sir Yeats (if i may be so bold) ... "always and forever" means much to many of us ... thanks for a beautiful piece ...
