I have strangely developed some strong connections with Australia,I just can't escape the place and it seems as if I will end up there sometime in the future. This is dedicated to two special people in my life (who know who they are should they get the chance to read this poem). This one is light on the metaphors, heavy on the emotions. ================================== Hello my soul mate I missed you get upon the plane, disappear to follow forbidden life, and the loss it cuts through like a knife, what would I give to be with you in Australia? a trail of memories I now follow, stay close to me. Hello bright angel, Exploding out on my scene, You feed me fine with soft words and compassion we traded lust and love and ran naked down on the line. I am confused, I want to be with you to know that what I might feel will be stand be warm and real, But great distances separate, I can't reach to embrace you down in Australia. One may return to lighten my days, Speak again, cups of tea in the café and memories, together content. Meanwhile I feel my other close friend slip away, slow down I said, I need time to assess, I love the energy and warmth you possess, but while intensity fuels it also threatens to drown. I am lost in you and finding her, you have led deeper still, I love you but I don't know just how, how far are our limits, will they stretched to Australia? I am kissing you in dreams and holding her, a soul mate platonically. my heart beats at a different speed for both of you, jealously not needed, I can't quite understand where to lay my feet. It would be so much easier to let things blossom, out of scene, in Australia. < !signature--> "I concede relationships have left me weak Won't be here so I don't care Look for something worthy to replace my guilt" Mansun legacy [This message has been edited by brian madden (edited 09-01-2000).] |

Brian, this was light beautifully shaded with dark, instead of the reverse. I loved it. Thank you for replying to the challenge so brilliantly. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
