I sit here in my
   big old chair
the phone pressed to
   my ear
and listen to all the
   things you dont say

Minutes slip into
   hours
hours spent learning
   our hearts
working past the
   doubts and fears

Planning a lovers
   rendevous
teasing and tormenting
   each other
with promises of lovers
   games

Hearing your life
   through this phone
listening to you
   sing to me
listening to you
   love me

Your voice, your
   laugh, your tears
we have shared them all
   over this phone
and now, yes now, the
   time has come

To hang up this
   phone
and see in each
   others eyes
what our voices
   know is true

I love you.

A big but neccessary step when two hearts are bonded.  Really nice read and the tenderness only got better as it went along.

Paula, you always amaze me with the poems of reality.

Paula...
When I read this, it was like reading  my own thoughts!!!!  Are you playing around inside my head again, twin?
This is what I needed to read
right now, and I thank you!

Today is a gift....

Oh..scary isn't it? To finally meet someone face to face that you've only 'seen' with your heart. Good luck! BTW I love the poem!

Oooooh!  It's time to step beyond the intellectual and emotional attraction, see if the circuit closes and the spark jumps.
Will the pheremones do the happy dance?
Woo-hoo!  I'm excited just thinking about it!
Excellent verse Paula!  Just great!
