How much more Under the optimist rock Where paradise should be I have dug my life long clock To find it's guarantee. The sand has piled a mountain high The hole to an abyss. My hands are raw in haul and tie The spikes of cannabis. Yet here I stay day on day Unending in my task I cannot stop or hold or stay Or even think or ask. The mountain will my head stone be The monument of cast The abyss will the vis a vis. To stay until the last. How much more can a man do To make it all come true? |

"How much more can a man do to make it all come true" Such a sad question Seymour...the only thing I know to do is keep trying...never give up when your goal is something you desire above all else...but also know which goals are attainable...you made me think today...thank you Yesterday is gone...tomorrow may never happen...we only ever have today |

They said, heaven is what's beyond the mountains I went with eagle fingers clawing up the terrains They said, paradise is up above the clouds of rain, I jumped from the top of the hill and jumped in vain .... WONDERFUL and very intriguing poem this Seymour, you pen jewels... regards, sudhir |

A true archeologist's "dig" at life...and why is it we cling so tenaciously to something that usually treats us so harsh...when most every religious belief tells us there is a "better world" ahead... You know by now, Sy, that I am an admirer of yours...even if I have to run for dictionaries now and then...you have managed with great ease and finesse to enlighten and inspire me...thank you... |

Another masterpeice from the master Another thought worth thinking, but I do believe it's not necessary to dig, what you're looking for in your heart, and please don't go digging in there LOve ya Liz |

Under the optimist's rock where paradise should be. Loved these lines and all the poem. Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
