Piper's Patience

Symphonic histrionics are sometimes loud and brash,
Intruding on clear babble of cool brook.
The thunder of drums o'erpowers, on limestones clash
As waterfall echoes conflict, its rhythm mistook.

Discord reverberates; seek solace in calm nook
Under treetrunk outstretching the heaving banks.
Patience, Pied Piper. Patience as the earth shook.
The last chord fades; through him we offer thanks.

Sure sway of breeze filters down mountain flanks,
Faint chirping of bird rises unconducted.
The meadow alive with bright wildflower planks
O'er vale and moist dell; Harmony constructed.

Capture and absorb, his song fills all parts.
Soft music has reached our minds and hearts.
