Letting Go of Loneliness

Oh, what a wonderful feeling
Now in my very own home
Always needed someone else
Always felt so very alone.

Gee, my very own bed
Pretty curtains all around
Flowers on the table
Quiet, no not a sound.

Peacefulness all about me
Loneliness slipping right away
Happiness again
I’m feeling on this very day.

No more feeling alone
No more feeling stress
As I start a new life
Letting go of loneliness.

Oh, how happy I am
Oh, how much it means
But, then I realize
It’s just another of my dreams.

Trying to move on is hard, although we want it so…..

I know...I wrote "Someone who cares" for a friend in hope that it will encourage her to take the bold step to move on....James

jmlee,  thank you for responding.  I have decided after reading the poem again, that I'm gonna just leave the last verse out.  I like the happy ending so much better.  Just another step to moving on.

I think this is perfect just as it is as part of letting go is dreaming about it. When I was reading this I thought it was my life some time ago.......it felt grand....except never quiet with two boys! lol
This is a good dream......one that is possible to come true. Stay strong.

Letting go of loneliness is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.  I love your poem.  don't change a thing.
