      What's in a name

I call her by her Indian name
Pseudonym, "Many telephones."
She flits a ghost of tomorrow
Throughout the present of today.

Carries a cell phone in her bag
To cover transit and byway
And she has one above the bed
To blanket for a time delay.

A phone to receive her faxes
Another by the computer.
A master phone in the kitchen
Truly a technical wonder.

She is thinking of surgery
To remove the aging beeper
To cut a part the mounting bill
A very large and bitter pill.

For me I opt the sundial clock,
The shamrock and archaic knock.

Seymour,
these are
Jestfully sarcastic, yet affectionate words...

I prefer the sundial too, Seymour. Perhaps it's age.   You certainly have a poetic knack for thought translation. Enjoyed this.

I'm right there with ya Sir Tabin.  I didn't own a TV for four years... one of the best things I ever did for myself.  Unfortunately my wife dosen't share such views.  Peace!

Seymour...
I  love this, and I hate
   telephones.  Everywhere I look, someone
has the thing stuck to their ear!!!!!!!
This was such fun to read.....
         I'm going back for seconds!!

I have but one goal in
life.........
To make you smile!

I'm with you, Sy! You know what really annoys me? A ringing phone on the train...I mean really, can't people even be without a phone for a half hour? Unbelieveable. Delightful poem, Sy!
