Spirits

Daybreak comes new to this land
Silver shining sunless sea
crashes against the rocks angrily
High above looms dark castle
Bye and bye light will come
Spirit of the night runs across the sky
she hides behind the clouds; there she will lie
Night dives beneath the horizon
There is an ending to everything.

Spirit of Day returns
Drives the clouds away
The sky will be bright today.
Silver shining sea
plays with the rocks merrily
Waves lap pebble strands
where kings and queens do stand
Sunlight wavers silently
Notes of his harp echo mildly
Happiness reigns over this land.
There is a beginning to everything.

Lily

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

Thanks. I was inspired by looking at some of Maxfield Parrish's works.
